REID’S Auction Canada has been operating in Calgary for over 40 years and has been operating under its current ownership for well over a decade. REID’S is a very stable organization that is located only 10 mins from the heart of downtown at 4636 1 Street SE. Reid’s also boasts one of the largest customer bases in Calgary with customers from as far as Lethbridge, Red Deer, Fort McMurray, British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Edmonton attending our sales  regularly.

LOCATION - We are situated on 1.5 acres of land with over 16,000 sq ft of selling space. We have two 5 ton moving trucks and 30 storage trailers for tempoary stoage. Along with two 5000 pound forklifts, full dock, professional sound system, showcases, jewellery safe, 16 camera securtiy system, repair facilityand a state of the art computer and internet system sales system. We are the premire auction facility in Calgary.

TOP AUCTIONEER CHOSEN TO SELL THE ASSETS OF THE BOWVALLEY CENTRE OF THE GENERAL  HOSPITAL

$ 430,000.00 + Auction  of Surplus hospital equipment including 1500 Lots of Restaurant Equipment, 2000 Lots of Medical Equipment, 4000 Lots of Office Equipment, 1500 Lots of Photo,  Library and Television Studio Equipment, 1300 Lots of Maintenance, Housekeeping  & Tools, Etc. The over 10,000 items were sold in two days. Reid’s ran three rings per day selling a record breaking 7,000 items in one day. Reid’s also set  a new record for items sold in an hour. One ring sold over 3400 items and on average set a record breaking pace of 380 items, an hour, for nine hours straight. Reid’s in one sale has sold more items in two days than most auctioneers sell in an entire year.

WEB BASED ADVERTISING
Reid’s Auction uses the power of the Internet through its website to allow for instant notification of upcoming auctions through our IMM (internet mail management system). This system is instantaneous. Once we are assigned an auction, 1000’s of our regular auction customers are notified immediately with a full color brochure and a link to the web site for additional information.

NEWSPAPERS, FAXES, MAIL
We constantly use the Herald, Calgary Sun, Bargain Finder and rural newspapers to advertise our sales. We also have a 20,000 number fax database that we use extensively along with letter mail and emails to keep all of Calgary informed of our upcoming auctions. In any given week Reid’s Auction will post up to 8 large paper ads in three different papers to ensure buyer turnout. No other auction in Calgary or Edmonton even comes close to our commitment to our consignors.

$300,000 Auction of the Entire Assets of the old Highlander Hotel. Everything was sold down to the bare structural bones. This site was demolished for new Home Depo development.
